Video killed the radio star? Not really.

Looking back at the launch of MTV in 1981, hyped then as the death knell of radio, it’s easy to see just how wrong we were, The New York Daily News David Hinckley writes. “In 2010, the age of iPods, Facebook, Twitter and viral culture, most fans still get their new pop music from the radio. Even better, most fans still listen to songs first and watch them second,” Hinckley writes.
